What Excuses are Stopping You From Becoming a Better Guitarist?

In the past, I've made lots of excuses for not playing guitar:

  • I don't have enough time.
  • I'm too tired.
  • I'm not sure what to play.
  • I don't feel confident.
  • I'll get to it later.
  • And many, many more!

But, if we are to become better guitarists, what do we need to do and who do we need to become?

Where do we find the inspiration and motivation to continue to improve? Especially on the web, I've found so many examples of wonderful teachers and musicians.

I came across a YouTube video of Tony Melendez, an incredibly talented guitarist who was born without any arms. Check out this brief interview and his performance of "Let It Be"!

Don't let excuses stop you from playing guitar! Find great resources, aim to practice even just 5-10 minutes a day, and remember to have fun and enjoy the journey!
